The Friends of David Gill are pleased to announce that David Gill, M.D. will formally declare his candidacy for the Democratic nomination for Illinois' 15th District U.S. Congressional seat on May 21, 2003. Dr. Gill, a 43 year old Emergency Medicine physician living and working in Clinton, has served as a Democratic precinct committeeman in DeWitt County for the past several years. In addition to his work as Medical Director of the Emergency Department at John Warner Hospital, he also sits on that hospital's Board of Directors. Dr. Gill has long been an advocate of a single-payer national health care system; the U.S. remains the only developed nation in the world without universal health care. Foremost among his many goals, Dr. Gill would like to work toward enactment of such a system, for the benefit of all the residents of the 15th District.

- 2:30 PM Danville (Vermilion County Museum, 116 N. Gilbert)
- 5:00 PM Robinson (in front of Crawford County courthouse)
- 7:00 PM
Mattoon (Peterson Park Gazebo)
